On Sunday 27th Sept 2026 the SE BMFA held a competition in conjunction with the BFFA at the Epsom Radio Flying Club field near Gatwick.
This is a typical Fun-Fly model – very light but strong
The weather was pretty gusty but the competition went ahead so there was a pilots’ briefing at 10:00 to set out the rules, the classes for the comps and the field flying rules.

There were 16 fliers registered for the comp from ERFC, Caterham Club, Mid Sussex Fliers and some from BFFA. All were BMFA members with an ‘A’ certificate for fixed-wing.

The competition was a ‘cut down’ version of the normal BFFA fixtures as most of the club fliers were quite new to the discipline.
There were medals to be awarded for the various class winners (Gold, Silver and Bronze)
